Fish-shaped ceramic "sushi" plate with hand-painted fantasy fish.

I create each piece by hand from slabs of clay, so each dish is unique. I painted the design with underglaze, then coated it with clear gloss glaze before firing it in the kiln. The clay is a beautiful earthy stoneware tan color with black/brown specks.
 
This is an original piece of art that is durable, decorative, and functional!

High fired to cone 5, it is food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Glazes are lead-free.
